ASSEMBLEA. An Open Infrastructure for Humans, Animals, Pants and Insects.
2024
Assemblea is a raw earth drywall constructed during the Bosco Colto Campus 2024, co-led by Beatrice Fontana as Institute for spatial thinking.
Designed as an ecological infrastructure, the wall provides habitat for plants, insects, and animals. It is conceived as an “open project” that sets the foundation for other groups of students to expand and complete the perimeter of @giada.sociale, in the future.
Assemblea was made possible through the generous support of Ikea Foundation Switzerland and the invaluable expertise, technical assistance, and tireless efforts—both physically and emotionally—of Carmelo Longhitano.
