From 6-8.09.2023, I will teach a summer school module at the ZHdK focusing on Scenographic Design as a Critical Practice of seeing, understanding and designing space.

In this course, participants deal with the scenographic design of exhibitions of different kinds. They will deal with the associated challenges such as space, time, resources or political demands. Participants acquire basic know-how for a critical examination of current discourse as well as tools and strategies for developing their ideas.
Practical exercises with design tools such as drawings, sketches, collages and models promote the ability to understand and conceive spatial scenographies. The course focuses on exhibitions and includes stage, retail and public space.
The course is aimed at curious newcomers to the creative industry. Previous experience is optional.
