“No More Trite Design Theory! Listen to the Cry of the Creator’s Soul!” Or in this Case, Listen to my Smile: The “Triangular Design Manifesto” Published in AXIS Japan N.4 2015.

In 2008 as acceptance speech for the Curry Stone Design Prize, I have written a document, titled the Triangular Design Manifesto. At that time of the nomination, I was finishing my Ph.D. dissertation, and I felt that if an architect has something to say, they should simply say it. I still believe that there is no need for complicated theories to draw a line of architectural research. So this is my “creator’s cry of the soul”, or in my case, the smile of the creator’s soul, published in the issue of AXIS N. 4, April 2015.
