«Architecture. What Else?» An Architecture Exhibition in a Gas Station. (of Course)

Some sketch models and drawings of Conceptual Devices dreams, practice and vision will be featured in the exhibition “Architecture. What Else?”
The exhibition presents some rather new tendencies in Switzerland that look upon Architecture not just as a building phenomena but as a constructive discipline able to reach beyond the built environment.  The exhibition will take place in a special place that currently works as a garage, gas station and art gallery, the Kulturtankstelle, Döttingen.


The Exhibition is curated by Mateya Vehovar and Stefan Jauslin (Vehovar & Jauslin Architektur), and features the work of: Componovo Baumgartner Architekten, Rolf Derrer, Frei + Saarinen Architekten, Michael Hirschbichler, Sergej Klammer, Eloisa Avila, Hans Leiderscher, Mikel Martinez, Trond Maag, Tamara Kocan, Antonio Scarponi / Conceptual Devices, Miriam Steinhauser, Stich un Oswald, Weyell Berner Architekten.

Exhibition Text in German:

Zum ersten Mal widmet sich die Kulturtankstelle der Architektur. Die Ausstellung zeigt unterschiedliche künstlerische und experimentelle Positionen. Sie fragt nach der Rolle der Architektur in einer komplexen gesellschaftsstruktur, präsen- tiert zeitgenössische Architekturprogramme und visionäre Konzepte.Events ergänzen die Ausstellung: Bei einem ‹Walkshop› sammeln wir mit Ihnen verschiedene Aspekte von öffentlichen Räumen, diskutieren ihre Poten- ziale und geniessen einige weniger bekannte Ecken Döttingens. Und an der ‹Architecture theory Slam› stellen sich Autoren und Autorinnen dem Wettkampf.
